Today was beautiful out–clear skys and weather in the 50s. I was running all over the place today, primarily doing errands and clothes shopping with my friend Alice in Georgetown. This was a great shopping outfit because of the simple, comfortable layers. I really love the wolf-print dress; the colors are so easy to match with! Besides having a spectacular time with Alice, it turned out to be an extremely worthwhile venture. I left with several new (springtime!) goodies to add to my wardrobe, many of which I’ll be featuring in my upcoming posts. Stay tuned!

Vest, Scarf, Hat and Belt: Forever 21. Sweater, Coat and Gloves: H&M. Jeans: Old Navy. Booties: Gojane.com. Bag: Urban Outfitters.

Today was the coldest I’ve ever experienced in DC, so I bundled up in winter essentials reminiscent of the Maine wilderness, which is where I spent many chilly months exploring as a kid. The fur, plaid, and LL Bean Duck Boot inspired heels remind me of how great my childhood was, and how one day (not anytime TOO soon) I would like to live in Maine again.

I would also like to give special thanks to Luke, my boyfriend, who is responsible for almost all of the photographs on my blog. I couldn’t do it without him. Happy 6 months baby!

As always, thanks for reading!

Coat and Sweater: H&M, Skirt and Boots: Forever 21, Jewelry: Claires

I’ve been really into fur lately, so when I found this gigantic faux fur coat from H&M on sale for $20, I had to get it! The leopard skirt plays nicely with the fur and the peachy color of the sweater. I just purchased the boots (on sale for around $16), and I love them already. Paired with opaque tights, they make my legs look miles long. I normally am not a fan of mixing black and brown in an outfit, but because the skirt has both hues, it works! This is one of many reasons I love leopard print. Another reason is I have a thing for cats. Whether they’re big and wild, or small and fluffy like Teddy above, I love them!

Thanks for stopping by!
