While perusing through my closet trying to come up with a new and exciting outfit to blog, it hit me that I hadn’t yet styled an outfit with one of my all-time favorite combinations–leopard print and red. The iconic print adds a dose of glamour to any outfit, and paired with a color as saturated and bold as red it looks stunning. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to break out the booties until next fall, but the weather has been disappointingly rainy and cold since I got home. The upside of this is I’m able to wear boots, tights and fur at the end of May! Hope you like.

Punk and Play

After a week of studying hard and being a good student, I was ready to break out the badass as a celebratory start to spring break. The skeleton tank, what I like to call my “grave-stomping” boots, and of course, a leather jacket, give this look just enough edge. The coffee and cigarette only heighten the punky I-don’t-care vibe. (Although, I will note I’m not a smoker!) Lastly, the playground seemed to be a great juxtaposition–child play plus teenage delinquency. Thoughts?

Tribal on Edge

Today I styled my outfit around my new, tribal print boots from Go Jane. I started with a black base, and added a top with tribal details. The red and teal colors of my blazer, socks and scarf match colors in the boots, and add some brightness to an otherwise dark, edgy look. To play up the edgy-ness, I added one of my favorite leather jackets, a studded belt and silver jewelry. I think it’s a rather unexpected combination, but I like how it turned out! Colorful Knits

Today I decided to keep it cozy with all knits! To counteract this cold and dreary day, I wore jewel tone accessories. I tend to be very matchy-matchy in my outfits, but perhaps this blog is bringing out a more daring side of me. Nonetheless, this look is warm and comfortable, and in my opinion, pretty damn chic too. 🙂
