Coat and Floral Tank: Target. Cardigan: Ralph Lauren. Jeans: Old Navy. Booties and Socks: American Eagle Outfitters. Belt and Jewelry: vintage. Aviators: H&M.

This time of the year can be tricky for me because it’s nowhere near jacket-free weather, but all the stores are stocked with so many cute spring things–pastels, florals, floaty tops and strappy wedges–and I’m a sucker for all of them! So I have to make due in the meantime by layering florals with darker pieces and heavier layers, like I’ve done here. Even though today was gray and nasty out, I wore my new gold-rimmed aviators anyway. I think they add a cool vibe and a finishing touch to just about any outfit. How do you dress for transitioning between seasons? Let me know! 🙂

Scarf: H&M. Cardigan and Sweater: Gap. Shirt: thrifted. Pants: Forever 21. Boots: DSW.

I’ve always been a print and pattern kind of girl, and tribal is one of my favorites. I’m preparing for a very busy, stressful week, so posts may be a bit sparse. Stay with me though, because by the end of the week I’ll be back in Maine and taking photos in the snow!

Coat: H&M. Dress and Jewelry: Forever 21. Cardigan: American Eagle Outfitters. Boots: Rebels via DSW.

Cognac brown is one of my go-to neutral colors. Although I’m normally not a pattern-on-pattern kind of gal, I paired up my leopard print coat with a floral dress because of their matching colors. Please let me know what you think!

Also, some exciting news…

I got a new camera! This is a Canon Rebel T3 DSLR that I purchased from Best Buy. I’m so thrilled to be able to take higher quality photos for this blog. I’ve also been thinking about expanding into the realm of street style, which will be much easier with my new camera. We’ll see!

Dress: thrifted. Sweater: Ross. Scarf and Coat: H&M. Booties and Socks: American Eagle Outfitters. Bag: Urban Outfitters. Jewelry: Forever 21.

Today I arrived in DC after a long, relaxing break at home. I was immediately surprised when I stepped outside of Reagan Airport to find clear skys and mid-50s weather. It was a good 20 degrees warmer than Maine! The gorgeous weather had me itching for spring, which is reflected in my bright magenta dress, and bare arms and legs. Is anyone else ready for winter to be over?

Vest: Gap; Sweater: Old Navy; Pants, Scarf and Gloves: H&M; Boots: Gojane.com; Bag: vintage; Hat: Forever 21

Today I wore this cozy ensemble to run errands and managed to stay warm–which is nearly impossible in Maine during winter. I think the gray vest and boots play well with the nordic sweater and icy blue scarf to create a distinctly wintery outfit. Let me know what you think!

Coat and Sweater: H&M, Skirt and Boots: Forever 21, Jewelry: Claires

I’ve been really into fur lately, so when I found this gigantic faux fur coat from H&M on sale for $20, I had to get it! The leopard skirt plays nicely with the fur and the peachy color of the sweater. I just purchased the boots (on sale for around $16), and I love them already. Paired with opaque tights, they make my legs look miles long. I normally am not a fan of mixing black and brown in an outfit, but because the skirt has both hues, it works! This is one of many reasons I love leopard print. Another reason is I have a thing for cats. Whether they’re big and wild, or small and fluffy like Teddy above, I love them!
