Jacket: Forever 21. Top and Scarf: H&M. Pants: Target. Loafers: Urban Outfitters.

As you may be able to tell, I’m having a moment with patterned pants. They’re trendier than their brethren–patterned tops, while still incredibly easy to style. My foolproof matching technique is simple: pick a color or 2 from the pants, and 1 or 2 neutrals as well to complete the look. You’ll be sure to achieve a nice balance of colors while letting the pattern speak for itself. For this particular outfit, I highlighted the icy shades of blue and pink to create a perfect winter-into-spring look. I have 2 or 3 more pairs of patterned pants to style and post so bear with me…

Coming up are more trendy pieces, including stripes, florals (what’s new?) and neon.

Jacket: vintage. Tee: H&M. Skirt and Jewelry: Forever 21. Heels: Aldo. Clutch: Topshop.

Hey everyone, sorry about my short absence; I’ve just been slowly settling back into the routine of class and work. Today I wore this girly ensemble featuring my favorite color to wear–cobalt blue–and a fun, graphic cat tee. Let me know how you like it!

Coat: a boutique in Montreal. Top: Urban Outfitters. Jeans and Beanie: Forever 21. Booties: Chinese Laundry.

Hey everyone! I’m currently relaxing at home in Maine. Although this isn’t an ideal place for spring break, it’s a nice getaway from the stress of school and work. Pretty much no one here dresses up, especially during our unforgiving winters, so my outfit reflects typical Brunswick Maine style: a big coat, hat, and plaid flannel. Hope your week is going well!

Til next time,
Laura

Jacket: JouJou. Tank and Skirt: Urban Outfitters. Flats: American Eagle Outfitters. Scarf: Aldo. Belt and Jewelry: Forever 21.

Today I wore this girly/edgy ensemble featuring new purchases from Urban Outfitters. I got the skirt on sale for $10, unfortunately it’s still $60 online, but if you have a store near you then check it out! I hope your week is going well! More soon 🙂

Coat, Cardigan and Purse: H&M. Tank and Jeans: Forever 21. Tank (under): United Colors of Benetton. Booties: MIA.

When in doubt, I always pair up something printed, something colored, and something neutral. I suppose it’s my “fashion formula”. It’s just enough to make an outfit interesting without being overdone. I particularly like my printed tank (it has wild cats on it!)

In other news, today marks the 1 month anniversary of my blog! I would like to thank my subscribers, anyone who’s taken the time to leave a comment or like a post, and those who stop by just to look from time to time. I really appreciate the support. Here’s to many more months!

Happy hump day!

Coat: H&M. Dress and Jewelry: Forever 21. Cardigan: American Eagle Outfitters. Boots: Rebels via DSW.

Cognac brown is one of my go-to neutral colors. Although I’m normally not a pattern-on-pattern kind of gal, I paired up my leopard print coat with a floral dress because of their matching colors. Please let me know what you think!

Also, some exciting news…

I got a new camera! This is a Canon Rebel T3 DSLR that I purchased from Best Buy. I’m so thrilled to be able to take higher quality photos for this blog. I’ve also been thinking about expanding into the realm of street style, which will be much easier with my new camera. We’ll see!

Jacket and Scarf: TJ Maxx. Sweater: Gap. Pants: H&M. Loafers and Backpack: Urban Outfitters. Beanie and Jewelry: Forever 21.

Today I ran some errands and went shopping. It was quite windy, so instead of trying to tame my hair I just threw a beanie on and called it a day. If you’re familiar with GW, you’ll find A LOT of preppy kids around campus. Thing is, I tend to lean in the opposite direction. However, I found a happy medium with this preppy meets urban look. What do you think?

Colorful Knits

Coat: Forever 21; Sweater, Tights, and Belt: Express; Skirt: Urban Outfitters; Booties: Chinese Laundry; Gloves: H&M; Hat and Scarf: Old Navy

Today I decided to keep it cozy with all knits! To counteract this cold and dreary day, I wore jewel tone accessories. I tend to be very matchy-matchy in my outfits, but perhaps this blog is bringing out a more daring side of me. Nonetheless, this look is warm and comfortable, and in my opinion, pretty damn chic too. 🙂

Vest: Gap; Sweater: Old Navy; Pants, Scarf and Gloves: H&M; Boots: Gojane.com; Bag: vintage; Hat: Forever 21

Today I wore this cozy ensemble to run errands and managed to stay warm–which is nearly impossible in Maine during winter. I think the gray vest and boots play well with the nordic sweater and icy blue scarf to create a distinctly wintery outfit. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for visiting,

Laura
